Rounding up the emojisโฆ
Styled as a face that's turned green and looks like it's one bump in the road away from losing its lunch. Added in Unicode 9.0 (2016) alongside its more extreme partner ๐คฎ (face vomiting). People use it for physical nausea (morning sickness, car sickness, hangovers) but also for figurative disgust โ a terrible hot take, a cringeworthy text from an ex, or finding out something you wish you hadn't. On Apple, the face has a distinctly yellow-green tint with puffed cheeks; Google's version leans darker green. It's the warning shot before ๐คฎ.
Use when feeling sick, nauseated, or disgusted by something gross.
